The island is full of all sorts of spooky creatures and secrets that will test their strength and loyalty at every turn.
What’s really cool about Hell’s Paradise is that it started as a manga series created by Yuji Kaku, So you can be confident that it’s going to be an good one! Not only that, but the anime adaptation been receiving high praise for its breathtaking animation, thrilling action scenes, and multi-dimensional characters. Oh, and guess what? The studio behind Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is none other than MAPPA! They’re the talented team that also produced fan-favorite anime series like Attack on Titan and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Our MC Gabimaru, a ninja who is sentenced to death for his crimes. Gabimaru is given an opportunity to gain his freedom by agreeing to take part in an expedition to an mysterious island that possesses the elixir of life. But, he is not alone: he is accompanied by his executioner, Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, and other death row prisoners who are also after the elixir. The island is full of dangers, secrets, and strange creatures that test their survival skills and their sanity.
Hell’s Paradise explores dark themes such as life and death, loyalty and betrayal, love and hate, and human nature. The characters are complex and have their own motivations and backgrounds.
My Review of Hell's Paradise
Hi guys it’s me again. As you all know usually, I’m drawn to more light-hearted and cheerful anime’s, but I decided to give Hell’s Paradise a chance. To be completely honest, I am actually pretty surprised! I’m not typically drawn to darker anime, but the storyline of hell’s paradise is so compelling that I just couldn’t resist getting hooked! It’s hard to find a good anime these days that has it all, but Hell’s Paradise definitely manages to deliver in spades.
Look, I get it. This anime isn’t going to be everyone’s jam. If you’re not into the whole action-packed and darker storyline thing, then maybe it’s not for you. But if you’re on the hunt for an anime that’ll keep you engaged and make you ponder, then I definitely suggest giving Hell’s Paradise a shot!
I’m gonna be real with you, Hell’s Paradise isn’t usually my go-to genre. I totally get why people are hooked on it. From my four years of watching various anime, I’d rate Hell’s Paradise a solid 7.5 out of 10. It’s not my top pick, but I can still see the quality of the anime and why it appeals to others. And who knows, it might be your new favorite anime!
