Can you believe it’s already been two years since Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- first aired? I don’t know about you, but I’ve been eagerly awaiting news about the second season ever since the first one ended. Well, the wait is finally over – we officially have a release date!

Can you believe it – after much anticipation, we finally have confirmation that Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 is coming! This is the news all us fans have been dreaming of.
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 has been officially confirmed and is set to release in January 8th 2024.Â
I know, I know – that seems like forever from now! But honestly, after waiting this long just to get a second season announced, I don’t even mind the extra wait.Â
I’m just so thrilled we’ll be returning to the whimsical fantasy world and lovable characters we’ve missed so much.
It’s been over two years since the first season aired back in summer 2021. Those 12 episodes set the stage for something really special – a one-of-a-kind anime brimming with humor, imagination, and heart.Â
Makoto quickly became an iconic protagonist, and I can’t wait to see more of his snarky adventures.
Of course, the rest of the cast left quite an impression too. Tomoe, Mio, Tomoe, Shizuku…I’m dying to catch up with them all! And explore more of the mystical lands we’ve only glimpsed so far.
While the long wait for new episodes is tough, it’ll make finally diving back into Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-magical realm that much sweeter.Â
This sequel is going to be something special – I just know it. The first season captivated us, and the second one promises to take things to the next level. Get ready for more Moonlit Fantasy magic!

What to Expect from Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2
While we don’t have many details yet, I’m sure this new season will take us deeper into the mystical world and lore of Tsukimichi.Â
There’s still so much to explore! Not to mention all the hilarious adventures and trouble Makoto will inevitably get himself into with his special ability to talk to creatures.Â
I can already imagine the laugh-out-loud moments.
And of course it’ll be exciting to watch the characters we know and love continue to grow. I’m looking forward to seeing Tomoe, Mio, Shizuku and the others facing new challenges and forging new relationships.Â
Given how rich and diverse this fantasy world is, I bet we’ll also get introduced to some fresh faces along the way too.
One thing I’m not worried about is the visuals – the animation studio J.C. Staff will be returning, so we can expect the same gorgeous art and fluid animation that makes Moonlit Fantasy so visually striking.Â

While I wish we didn’t have to wait so long for the new episodes, when they finally arrive I know Tsukimichi Season 2 is going to deliver everything fans could hope for – humor, imagination, adventure, and captivating fantasy world-building.Â

I don’t know about you, but I’m so relieved to hear that the team behind the first season of Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- will be returning for the second! That means we can expect the same amazing quality that made season one so magical.
Studio J.C. Staff will be handling the animation again, with director Shinji Ishihira at the helm to maintain that whimsical Moonlit Fantasy style we know and love. And our three favorite voice actors are coming back too!
Natsuki Hanae will once again bring the sarcastic and witty Makoto to life. His performance really makes you root for Makoto, even when he’s being a little bratty.
The eternally exasperated dragon Tomoe will speak with Ayane Sakura’s voice once more. Her talent for blending humor and nobility really shines through.
And the earnest, sweet-natured Mio will be voiced by Akari Kitou, who gives the character such warmth and compassion.
Hearing these familiar voices will make plunging back into Tsukimichi feel like coming home.
The cast and crew clearly have such affection for these characters and this world.Â
I’m so thrilled that the same dream team will be crafting the second season – they’ll do the story and characters justice for sure! Continuity is key.

Season 2 hits screens on 8th January 2024, so mark those calendars. I know waiting another year sounds brutal, but just knowing we have more Moonlit Fantasy on the way makes it easier to bear.
